QUESTUP / EXAMPLE PREVIEW

Every quest is a chance to grow.

Example quest · Teamwork · Outdoor service

Before joining: check age limits, organizer details and supervision.

Illustrative badges show a sprout, a helping hand and an upward star.

Example achievement badges: community care, helping others and personal growth. Not safety certifications or earned awards.

A good quest starts with good questions.

Young people and families deserve clear information before committing to service.

QuestUp’s mission includes helping youth find safe local opportunities. No badge, listing or platform can guarantee safety. Review each opportunity with the organizer and involve a parent or guardian when appropriate.

What does a verification badge mean?

Check the stated criteria and scope of any verification badge. An organization listing or achievement badge does not, by itself, establish that every person, activity or location has been screened. Ask QuestUp for current nonprofit-verification criteria.

Are background checks required?

A platform-wide background-check policy is not published here. Do not assume an organizer, staff member or volunteer has been checked. Ask the organization who is screened, what the screening covers and when it was completed.

What should parents and guardians confirm?

Confirm age eligibility, consent requirements, the named supervisor, transportation arrangements, accessibility needs and emergency contacts. Ask how arrival, departure and any concerns will be handled.

Will service count toward school requirements?

Your school decides which service qualifies. Confirm approval rules before attending, and ask the organizer how participation and hours will be confirmed.

How can I raise a safety concern?

For immediate danger, contact emergency services. For questions about a listing or QuestUp’s current safety practices, use the contact form. The form is not an emergency reporting channel.
